
LINDA KOTIS
Member of the Board, legal matters affecting non-profits
Linda Kotis is a Vanderbilt Law School alum who retired from practice in January 2025. Most recently she worked with an Am Law 200 firm and a DC tax boutique providing sophisticated estate planning for high-net-worth clients. She has extensive experience with the management and legal structure of nonprofit organizations. In prior positions, she wrote and evaluated federal, state, and private foundation grant applications. Linda is the author of many articles for national publications, including Kiplinger, ABA Probate and Property Magazine, Bloomberg BNA Daily Tax Report, Leimberg Information Services, Inc. (LISI), and Washington Lawyer, and is now writing nonfiction essays, poetry, and a memoir about her 2024 trip to Greece, her ancestral homeland. Her twice-monthly series of personal essays, “Retirement Writes”, will debut as part of LISI’s Employee Benefits & Retirement Planning Newsletter in February 2025. Linda is a volunteer with local charities and a long-distance cyclist. She collects the work of local artists and artists from Ukraine.
